Details: The Lamperd Undercarriage Mobile Inspection System (LUMIS) provides visual inspection of vehicle's underbody through the use of a set of multiplexed cameras. The cameras capture and record a series of images taken as the vehicle moves over the cameras. The images can be reviewed either individually or combined to form a single image. The images can also be magnified and enhanced with the software to view any desired portion of the image.

The LUMIS allows for inspection and recording of the vehicle underbody without the need for personnel to be directly exposed to the terrorist vehicle prior to a preliminary inspection.
